Denny O’Neil, Curt Swan & Murphy Anderson revamped Superman for the 1970s, beginning a storyline that would (temporarily) result in a vastly de-powered Man of Steel. After de-powering Wonder Woman (the white jumpsuit era), reviving Batman (with Neal Adams on art) and putting Green Lantern & Green Arrow on the road (again with Adams), O’Neil takes a turn at DC’s first superhero, and the results are…mixed.
